Lauren Diamantas' Disney Vacation Guide

Lauren Diamantas' Disney Vacation Guide

Let’s go to Disney! But first, let’s chat about everything you need to pack and tips to maximize the MAGIC of your trip. I’ve partnered with Classic Whimsy to share adorable Disney looks for your children at an affordable price.

Packing:

It does not matter the season you will be visiting, start with a pair of ears and coordinate outfits to go with. Whether it be a mouse ears headband, bow or hat…you can’t forget those ears, they are essential!

For a Summer trip, which is what this post will focus on, you will want lightweight clothing, a swimsuit, and cute pajamas. We love a coordinating sibling moment for each of these! The parks will be HOT, crowded, and have longer wait times, so expect that going into each day.

Here are some of my current faves to customize, order, and pack for your Summer Disney Vacation.

Pastel Mouse Ears Callie Bloomer Set

Princess In Training Pajamas

 Disney Tips:

If you are staying at a Disney Property, here are some tips we use to maximize the magic.

  • Early Entry into the parks (check with the concierge to see what the park time is for that day; typically, resort guests can enter the parks 30 minutes prior to opening.) This strategy is a huge advantage to get in line for popular rides that have longer wait times throughout the day: Peter Pan, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Frozen Ever After, Remi Ratatouille, Expedition Everest, Slinky Dog Dash and Runaway Railway.
  • If purchasing Genie+, you get the advantage of booking your first selection early when staying at a Disney Property.
  • Go to the parks early when crowds are down and the heat isn’t in full force. Take a break around lunch and head back to the resort to swim, rest, and recharge (trust me, you will need the break.) Then, return to the parks after dinner until close since you won’t want to miss those incredible Disney fireworks!
  • If at Magic Kingdom, watch the fireworks from nearby outdoor rides, such as Astro Orbiter, Aladdin or People Movers. Ride wait times are usually down during this time.
  • Pack sunscreen, a hat, lots of water and portable fans.

We hope you have a magical Disney vacation and make so many fun memories in your Classic Whimsy style!
